The Cowardly Lion - Romano x Reader (fluff )

“GET OFF!” You yelled pushing one of the men off of you. It was late and you had been walking home from a friends house when you were pulled into an ally by a group of creepy guys. That black belt in karate was about to come in handy, when suddenly the man in front of you hit the ground. You looked to see Romano standing between you and the other men. “LEAVE HER ALONE!” He yelled snapping you out of your shock. Another guy came out of nowhere and punched Romano in the face. “ROMANO!” You ran up and kicked the guy in the head knocking him out cold, before going to Romano’s side. “____, stay back!” He said getting back up, ready to fight. The third guy took out a switchblade and charged the two of you. Romano quickly caught the man’s arm and pulled him so the man's stomach rammed into Romano's knee, leaving the man coughing on the ground. The last guy shifted nervously. Romano stared him down and the man ran.
Romano quickly grabbed your hand and stared to calmly walk away. Then a little faster. And faster. And faster. Then he started running. Finally broke into a full on sprint, dragging you along. When you two got to his house he ran inside and slammed the door, that’s when you noticed he was shaking like a chiwawa. “Are you alright?” You asked each other at the same time. “Ladies first,” Romano said showing his Italian charm. “I’m fine. Thanks for helping, but you didn't have to do that.*sigh* Let me see you eye,” You said cupping Romano’s face with your hands and inspected the bruise forming around his left eye. "Wow, his face is really red, weird" You thought. His eyes fixed on the floor, “I couldn't let those bastards hurt you. After seeing you take that asshole down, guess you’re tougher than everyone thinks,” “Hehe, I could say the same thing about you. I can’t believe you caught that guys arm.” You said in amazement, before a pair of arm wrapped around you. Romano’s head rested on your shoulder as he whispered, “Anything to keep you safe.”
Romano and you had eaten about half of a pizza and watch a couple Disney movies by the time Italy came home. “_____~” Italy yelled as he glomped you, nearly knocking you off the couch. Romano growled, “HEY! Stupid fratello, _____ doesn't want some guy all over her!” He said pulling Italy off of you. Italy looked disappointed, “Ve~ You’re only saying that because you love her,” Your face turned tomato red. Romano looked shocked then angry before starting to strangle Italy.
